The Harvest Team: Out and About in June 2024

Harvest Out and About – July 2024

Harvests 40th Anniversary Celebrations – 20th of June, The Dean Townhouse Hotel  #40yearsofexcellence

The Harvest team had a super evening celebrating 40 years of excellence on the 20th of June in the Dean Townhouse. It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise our legacy and achievements and envision our future with valued clients, partners, and friends.

Harvest was founded in 1984 by Pearse Walsh and went on to achieve great things over the ensuing decades in line with and often ahead of Learning and Development trends at the time. The 1980’s found Harvest working with progressive clients such as Superquinn and AWear. In the 1990’s Harvest attracted new talent with Nicola O’Neill and Frank Rock joining the organisation.

Through a management buy-out in the 2000’s, Nicola and Frank took the helm at Harvest and Harvest’s first graduate programme attracted John Kilroy. In the 2010’s Harvest went global,  delivering leadership, sales, and management development programmes in London, Europe, New York, Dubai, and Sydney. Harvest was shortlisted by the Small Firms Association as Best Small Business in 2011 and 2012. In 2014 Harvest set up our Technology division delivering eLearning solutions, and this is now the Digital Learning Institute.

The 2020’s has seen Harvest move into bespoke Organisation Development and Talent consultancy assignments with clients. In 2020 we sadly said goodbye to our inspirational mentor and friend Frank Rock. We are now almost mid-way through the 2020’s and look forward to creating a future and lasting legacy of partnership, insights and positive impact.

As part of our 40th anniversary celebrations we created a short 3-minute video that journeys through the decades since 1984 highlighting some of Harvest’s achievements against a backdrop of Learning & Development trends and world events. To see our video please click here.

Nicola kicked off the evening by welcoming everyone and then after sharing the short video took us on a walk down memory lane of her time with Harvest.

Between the courses of a delicious meal, it was wonderful to hear some of our valued clients, partners and former colleagues talk about their relationships with Harvest over the years as they shared their insights and experiences of working with us. Alan O’Neill took us back to the early days when he worked with Pearse Walsh and how he has watched and championed Harvest in the intervening years as it continues to thrive.

Julie Ryan as the newest member of the Harvest team in the role of Deputy Managing Director spoke about her excitement to be working with Harvest. Clients Annette Byrne and Claire Power spoke about their working relationship with Harvest as clients while Milla Clynes spoke about her time as a member of the team at Harvest (on two occasions no less) and the good times and fond memories she has from her times working with Nicola, Frank and the team, many of whom were in attendance. Sinead Heneghan commended Nicola for celebrating herself and Harvest and talked about how they have worked side by side in the Learning and Development space for many years. John Kilroy spoke with fondness and a little trauma about his onboarding days to Harvest and the time he spent with Frank and Nicola as he got to know the business and its people.

A huge thank you from Nicola, Julie and all the team at Harvest to everyone who joined us and celebrated with us at the event. We created wonderful memories.

We would also like to say thank you for all the support and good wishes that we have received for our anniversary celebrations. We look  forward to sharing our continued success with you all – collaborating with our partners, and designing and delivering the best learning solutions for our clients.
