IITD Awards 2021: PWA Winners and Highly Commended Announcement
Harvest would like to congratulate all the finalists and winners of the IITD Awards 2021. We would particularly like to congratulate the Pearse Walsh Award 2021 finalists. Vodafone were the worthy winners with their submission on ‘Supporting the Victims of Domestic Abuse’. We would also like to commend the IWA with their ‘Ability Programme’ and Version 1 with their ‘Pathways – Unleash Your Potential’ programme who were both shortlisted as finalists. The judging panel reviewed 3 very strong applications and experienced 3 excellent presentations. In the end, the winner by a very narrow margin was Vodafone Ireland for their Domestic Violence initiative. The winning initiative demonstrated a very strong link to the organisation’s values and ambition to be a top employer in Ireland for women by 2025. The programme champions demonstrated great courage and innovation in tackling this subject and it is a breakthrough initiative in the Diversity & Inclusion arena. Through policy implementation and a supporting training programme for managers and senior executives, they brought participants through a sensitive and emotional topic that has established a dialogue and movement around this topic both inside and outside their organisation. Through their partnership with Women’s Aid, they are striving to transfer the learning from their own experience into a movement that will have a wider external impact on organisations at a national level. The judges believed that the initiative demonstrates courage, innovation and breakthrough thinking in approaching unchartered territory which reflects the spirit of the Pearse Walsh Award. We would also like to say thank you to everyone that applied for the Pearse Walsh Award 2021. We look forward to seeing what exciting new programmes you will have on offer in the second half of 2021 and in 2022. Thanks to the IITD once again for a most enjoyable 2021 Awards Ceremony which Harvest was delighted to sponsor again this year. We look forward to continuing this sponsorship and have the 8th of April 2022 in our diaries, which we hope will be held in person, in the Killashee Hotel. Want to see who won the other awards?
